Dual Purpose Card

This is a card I did for a recent class...my sample got some extra ink on it at class! It is a quick and fun card to make. It can be used as a Valentine card or just to let someone know they are in your thoughts.

I have been painting some cabinets I had in my family room. They were a pine wood and I wanted them white. First I had to primer them, then paint. It has taken three coasts of paint to get them to look decent, but I love the way they are turning out. I will post a picture once I get them finished and in place.

Hi stampers!

Well, I didn't get to post like I wanted to, but better late than never, right?!! It has been so cold here, it is hard to get motivated...I find myself wanting to sit by the fire and read while sipping on a nice, hot cup of cappuccino!

I found a version of this card on-line and decided I had to try it. I love the look...

This card was made using the Filled with Love stamp set, which is only available until the 24th of this month. It also features the new glitter paper, which is fantastic to work with! The small "xo's" are rub-ons.

I have had a hard time getting started this year...

Actually, I thought I had posted in the new year, but I guess I was dreaming because the posts are not here! I decided to show you a picture of my sweet Blue. She loves the new blanket she got for Christmas.

When I went to post this, I noticed a posting I had done saying that I would be away for awhile because I had to take my computer into the shop. It needed more memory. Turns out, they did not keep it, just ordered the part and I took it in later and they installed the new memory. I should be good for awhile now!

I got a new camera and have been playing around with it. I took pictures of some of the cards I have made lately. I will try to share those tomorrow, if I can find them on the computer! The new program is totally different from my old program, so I am having to "relearn" things.

Happy New Year

I may not be able to post for awhile...I am taking my computer in this morning for a checkup. It has been running really slow, so I thought I would have it checked out. When I called for an appointment, they said just bring it in. It will take 15 to 20 minutes to check it out. We shall see...

Anyway, if you don't see me on here for a few days, that is why. With the holiday weekend coming, any needed repair could be delayed. So I will wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year.

I got a very interesting book in my stocking this year - "29 Gifts - How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life" by Cami Walker. I read it in two days and am thinking of taking the challenge.
